Dulce came to us as part of a neglect case along with fellow Arabian Mesa. Both were emaciated but gained weight well with regular feeding and safe shelter.
Dulce came to us largely unhandled, but quickly gained trust. She is a fast learner who loves to move, with that beautiful, floaty Arabian stride. She enjoys attention and grooming.
Early in her tenure with us, she sustained an injury that resulted in partial facial nerve paralysis, but has recovered remarkably and it has not resulted in any permanent damage.
Dulce has embarked on an exciting new adventure at Colorado State University, where she’ll spend a semester training with students in the ASPCA Right Horse program. Dulce is following in the successful hoofprints of her “sister” Mesa, who was adopted through the program last semester.
